1 Month Wellness Check-Up

We went to Peanut's 1 month wellness checkup today and learned he continues to do very well. Today, he weighed in at 10 pounds 10 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long with a head measuring 38 1/2 centimeters (why one measurement is in inches and the other in centimeters beats me); putting him right where we want him, in the 50th-75th percentile. Dr. R, Peanut's pediatrician, says he is growing perfectly and very proportionately. She was also very impressed that he is so strong.

His next appointment is in a month where he'll get his first round of vaccinations.

It's unbelievable that Peanut will be turning 1 month old tomorrow. He'll be graduating from Harvard before we know it. At the end of last week he began smiling when I talk to him and imitating daddy's facial expressions. They're just fleeting moments, but enough to keep mom and dad wanting more!

I love seeing him change and grow every day. We've been walking around the neighborhood every other day, well, I walk and Peanut sleeps the entire time. However, the moment we reach the house, he's wide awake. He still keeps me quite busy feeding every 2.5 - 3.5 hours, but I can't help but enjoy seeing how excited he gets when the first drop of milk
hits his tongue.
