Swimming Lessons - Finale

We had our 19th and final swimming lesson tonight. The teacher did not give us a final exam or even pop quiz, but we did get a cool lime green t-shirt for our dedication these past 19 weeks. In the end, Peanut seems to know how to hold his breath underwater and grip onto the edge of the pool.

Would he know what to do if he accidentally fell into the water? I'm not entirely sure. I would like to think that he learned how to buy us a little time to jump in and rescue him, but he definitely cannot do what the Infant Swim Resource kids can. I knew our program did not teach the exact same skills, but I did hope he would be able to float or get to the edge of the pool. In hindsight, we probably should have enrolled Peanut in the latter.

The whole thing was not a bust. Peanut had a blast every week splashing around at Emler and on top of that, knows how to maintain his composure underwater, hold his breath for at least 7 seconds, and master the monkey crawl.

One last slide for the road

That's already an awesome accomplishment. Mochi just started swimming lessons. We've got 2 sessions under our belt, and he's loving it.
