Nana Ruthie Pooh and Uncle Adam spent about a week with us for the Fourth of July. NRP left Maine where she was turning on the furnace at night to visit us in Austin "hotter than hell" Texas. What a good sport.
For the first time, I did not overplan NRP and Uncle Adam's stay, leaving lots of free time for them to play with Peanut and hang out at home with us. We cooked, went to the pool, cooked some more, had dinner with Morrie and Chachi and my family, and took advantage of having a doting grandma and uncle in town to sleep in. Even though my husband and I gained 3lbs each, we really loved being with NRP and Uncle Adam. Peanut definitely went through grandma/uncle withdrawl, searching the house for them.
We loved every minute of it, but these are definitely our favorite moments:
* Being passed down the recipe, pan, and technique for crepes
* The amazingly agile Air Nana
* Nana Ruthie Pooh renamed "Nann-ee" and "Ah-poo"
* "Ah-da" (Uncle Adam) discovered his superpower: baby kryptonite
