Dad and Peanut Halloween

I don't know how I got so lucky, but I'm married to the sweetest man. After reading my last post, you know that I was galavanting in NYC while J was at home watching Peanut for three days. My adorable husband and son had a more wholesome Halloween weekend compared to mine.

The pumpkin flavored Peanut and his dad went to ProfitFuel for a Halloween party on Friday where Peanut discovered he likes hot dogs. (What happened to Health Nut Dad?)

On Halloween, pumpkin Peanut met up with Amiya the duck and her parents for some old fashioned trick-or-treating. The kids didn't quite get it at first and were busy running around the neighbors' yards smelling flowers, jumping, and throwing candy out of their bags. Finally they caught on. J said Peanut had him carry the candy bag until they reached the next house, then grabbed it, ran to the door, and knocked while saying "knock, knock".

Peanut was invited to a classmate's birthday on Sunday where the invitation read, "saddle up for a pony ride." Little did we know that meant they'd have four ponies plus a tractor-pulled train. (Peanut was a big fan of the train, not so much the pony.) The first party we attended for one of Peanut's other classmates had an appearance by Elmo and moonbounce. I was lucky my parents bought cake and ice cream for mine. And sometimes we had fried rice instead of ice cream.

The Slosberg men had quite the male bonding weekend. It's comforting to know that my husband can man the fort while I'm gone.
