Peanut is 2 1/2 years old today. He is growing and absorbing everything around him. Even though I'm exhausted at 7PM when I put him down for bed, I love being around this little guy. I'd describe Peanut as happy, considerate, curious, funny, and very active.
HAPPY - He's just plain happy. It's as simple as that. There are days when he wakes up on the wrong side of the floor, I mean, bed. But most of the time, you can tell that he feels life is good. For example, he doesn't get upset when another kid grabs his toys. Peanut doesn't let go without a fight, but if I ask him to share or someone out muscles him, he moves on.
CONSIDERATE - He's back to taking 2 to 2 1/2 hour naps and still sleeps about 12 hours a night. Yay! Also, if I seem to be in pain, he always stops dead in his tracks and asks me, "Are you OK mommy? Do you need a band-aid?"
CURIOUS - Peanut seems to like white girls. That's like-like. At first I thought he might have meant a girl with a white shirt, but no, he means "white girls". At Benihana, there was a 7 or 8 year old girl that Peanut did not have any interaction with, other than that she was sitting at our table. Before we left, he asked if he could give her a hug. Then, in the car, he told me, "I want to kiss the white girl on the mouth."
FUNNY - The Wiggles are Australian. Peanut has picked up their accent and corrects us when we say "star" instead of "stah" and "car" instead of "cah". It's only important when we sing, otherwise, he'll use the American version of those words.
ACTIVE - I'll let this video speak for itself. Note, the climbing wall is about 7 feet high.
