Rocky was an angel at her 2 month wellness checkup today. Only dressed in her diaper, she waited very patiently for Dr. N. Rocky is developmentally on track - smiling, cooing, and tracking.
Since we saw Dr. N at her 2 week appointment, Rocky's day and night confusion is fixed and infant acne is almost gone. Her eyes are still blue, but will probably go away around 6 months, which means, I've got 4 more months to enjoy them.
I noticed her belly button looked like a little stump and wasn't healing properly. It turns out that Rocky has umbilical granuloma which is a pink stalk of tissue that remained after the umbilical cord fell off. It's dried out and reduced in size significantly compared to two weeks ago, but still looks gross. Dr. N put silver nitrate on it today to dry it out. We're hoping to see results pretty quickly.
Stats:
Birth: weight - 7 lb, 9 oz; height - 20.5 in
4 days: 7 lb, 1 oz
2 weeks: 7 lb, 13 oz
1 month: 9 lb
2 months: weight - 11 lb, 11 oz (75%); height - 22 in (25%); head - 14.75 in (10-25%)
Her head is measuring a little small, but Dr. N says there's nothing to worry about right now. We just need to keep an eye on it and remeasure her at 4 months. It would be a concern if her head size plateaued since birth, but it is still growing, just at a slower rate than the rest of her body which is not too out of the ordinary. She would be equally concerned if her head were too big.
Rocky also got her Pediarix (DTaP, IPV, Hep B), HIB, Prevnar, and Rotavirus vaccines today. She woke up screaming an hour ago, which is not normal for her, but has fallen back asleep. We'll see how the rest of the afternoon goes.

Post-nap update
============
OMG, Rocky woke up from her nap and screamed for more than 2 hours. She was inconsolable so I called the nurse to see if it could've been an adverse reaction to the vaccines. The nurse said she probably has an upset stomach from the live virus in the Rotavirus. She suggested nursing or giving her anything she was willing to drink like Pedialyte, juice, or even sugar water and some acetomenophin. Unfortunately, Rocky refused to nurse and just screamed, so I moved on to the medicine but was so crazed with all her screaming and Peanut tugging at my pants that I could not figure out how to measure out 0.4 mL with the measuring devices I had. Finally, I found an old dropper that had 0.4 mL clearly labeled and used it squeezed medicine into her mouth. A few minutes later, she slurped down a bottle of milk and within 30 minutes, was calm. It was BRUTAL!
Mental note: make sure she's got a full tummy and some Tylenol in her prior to her next wellness checkup at 4 months.

Yikes! Sounds like a wonderful afternoon of superb mothering! I don't understand why the Tylenol dropper is marked in white, and the medicine is white too. It makes it impossible to measure anyting correctly without holding it up to the light at an angle.
Glad Rocky is doing better! Post more pics of her beautiful baby blues!!
