Yeehaw! This ole cow hand's wearing boots and drinking moonshine.
I never thought it would happen, but Peanut's kicked the binky habit. The first month was rough, but with some parental intervention from me, I finally got him napping again. He's back to taking a 2 hour afternoon nap.
Peanut is mostly potty trained with exception of naps and at night. It's wonderful and not as inconvenient as Jared and I originally thought. Just make sure you don't flush the toilet for him. I don't know why, but he gets really upset when he doesn't get to do it. As an incentive during his early training days, we gave Peanut one M&M after a successful bowel movement. I could always predict what color he'd pick because it was the color of his shirt. I also learned that your favorite color is the color of your shirt. Apparently, mine is black.
We're starting to see some payoff from "Spanish school". At home, I'll hear him say a few words like grande, pequeno, amarillo, mama, papa, bebe, agua, oso polar, comer, and que paso. I guess that's more than a few words.
At 37 months, Peanut is still obsessed with the Wiggles. He'll say things like, "my shirt is Greg and my pants are Murray". Allow me to translate: Peanut's wearing a yellow shirt and red pants.
I'm struggling with the smart mouth and know-it-all attitude. Yet he's really sweet and caring towards his sister and won't let me or his dad leave the house without multiple kisses and hugs.
Peanut favorite foods are fruit, quesadillas, bell peppers, cucumbers, candy and other sweets, and grape tomatoes. His favorite things to do are playing in sand, climbing and jumping on everything, putting puzzles together, and helping to fix things around the house, and cooking. Peanut's feet have remained the same size for 6 months because he's still wearing size 9 shoes. However, he is growing taller and wears shirts in 4T and pants in 3T.
