Happy 8 Months Rocky!

Don't let that smile fool you, those chubby cheeks belong to an 8 month old pooping machine. Rocky made such a mess this morning in her pajamas that I had to carefully peel them off and take her straight into a bath. As I was waiting for the water to warm up, she peed all over me. Jared and I think her poops keep on shooting straight up her back because her booty is so big that it blocks the poop from going forward.
Rocky cut her first tooth towards the end of May and her second about a week ago. Peanut weaned himself from the breast at 4 months so I exclusively pumped after that, but Rocky is still doing really well. However, the challenge I'm facing now is biting. Luckily she only has her bottom teeth, but what do I do when the top ones come in? OUCH!

This little lady is already very talkative. She's going to give me a run for my money. Between her and Peanut, I'm going to have to invest in a good pair of ear plugs. I can't complain because Rocky is a happy, easy-going baby. She's also quite playful by fluttering her eyelids, shaking her head, playing peek-a-boo, and pretending to be shy.

Rocky spits up less, but it hasn't stopped. Looking at her bib or sheets, it's quite easy to tell what she had for lunch. Carrots and pears are her favorite treats.

She's starting to rock on her knees and has launched herself forward but doesn't quite realize her hands need move too. It's fun watching Rocky move around on the ground because she's just so delighted when she gets one of her big brother's toys in her mouth.
