Peanut Turns Four!

Peanut is four years old. It's strange looking at him, especially next to Rocky, because all the baby fat has been replaced by lean muscle and a head full of thick, wavy hair. I guess the hair's always been there, but the skinny body is new. Peanut had a gymnastics birthday party with two of his classmates who also share January birthdays. It's been 4 years and I still can't manage to get a decent photo from any of Peanut's birthday parties, so instead here's a shot of him in our kitchen standing next to a tower he built. At age 4, Peanut loves Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear, and a recent discovery, Batman. Here's the budding artist showing off his work.

Buzz Lightyear. (Do you like the wings I made him? They're detachable because Buzz likes to take baths.)

Peanut is the typical boy who likes books, watching TV and movies on the iPad, and riding his scooter. He also enjoys taking pictures, drawing, and building things with Legos, blocks, and Zoob. We're starting to see more and more that Mister Popular has a shy side. I think Peanut is truly an introvert. He's been this way ever since he was young(er), it's just more apparent now because he's a lot more vocal about wanting to hang back and feel out the crowd before jumping in.

He had his hearing and vision exam at this wellness checkup. Peanut had perfect scores for both, which surprised the nurse because I guess kids this age usually can't sit still or follow directions well enough to get perfect scores.
