| Rocky loves painting |
This four-and-a-half year old little spitfire overflows with personality and sass. She feigns bashfulness when meeting someone new, then within several minutes warms up and unleashes a flood of non-stop questions, opinions, demands, and related and unrelated thoughts.
Rocky is a bike riding, joke telling diva. In the second set of photos above, Rocky is getting dressed to the nines because we were having Jared's friend over for dinner. Either we don't have people over enough or Rocky is going to be high-maintenance!
Rocky and I had an exchange on Saturday that made me wonder ... does Rocky know a little multiplication?
Kim: Mommy, I'm hungry. You just ate.
Rocky: Pleeeeeease, can I have a snack?
Kim: Why didn't you eat lunch? [She wears me down with several rounds of this endless conversation.]
Rocky: Can I have some flat cheese (sliced mozzarella) and some chocolate chips?
Kim: OK fine, I'll give you one piece of flat cheese and 3 chocolate chips.
Rocky: Mommy, how about I get 3 pieces of flat cheese and 9 chocolate chips?
Mathematician? Expert negotiator? Or chocolate fiend?
I asked Rocky about her favorite things. She responded, I like painting, painting my nails, doing homework, eating, eating sugar, Easter egg hunts, blue nail polish, and singing with my mom and dad.
