Decluttering and organizing. I hate it while I'm doing it, but I love the results.
As part of our preparations for moving to France, I wanted to get rid of our old papers. I had neatly organized our old tax returns and other important papers into folders and stored them in our upstairs closet, but there was no way I was going to ship those boxes to France nor were they going into storage. Scanning them in was the best solution.
Jared bought me a ScanSnap and if I could fall in love with an electronic device, this would be it! The mountain of paper the two of us collected over the last 20+ years that needed to be scanned was a little daunting. I thought it would take me over a week to get through it all, but this ScanSnap was incredible. It can scan both sides of 80 sheets of paper in just seconds. In 14 hours (about a day and a half), I scanned in thousands of papers and was done.
Getting rid of a dozen bins of paper is uplifting.
